March 19 is public holiday, but Fallas bonfires are canceled

Although March 19 is a public holiday, Fallas bonfires are canceled. In addition, the Generalitat has recommended that schools close on March 17 and 18, originally due to the holidays. Not all municipalities have complied with that request. In several cities on the Costa Blanca, including Denia, students still have both days off, but there is no question of a holiday.
