Hundreds of purple jellyfish washed up on Calpe’s Arenal beach

Hundreds of purple jellyfish have washed up on Calpe’s Arenal beach. They are called By-the-wind sailors. The jellyfish are largely harmless and float in large colonies driven by the wind. This is done thanks to fins that resemble small sails.
