Spanish tourism hit hard, economic contraction

2020 was a disastrous year for the global economy. For Spain, which was hit hard during the current pandemic due to, among other things, tourism, things are not looking bright. Spain ended 2020 with a contraction of 11% while Ireland was the only country to come out positively with an increase of 3.4%. In Belgium there is talk of an economic contraction of -8.2%, while it was -3.8% in the Netherlands and -4.9% in Germany.
