The Red Cross recently put a new ambulance into use in Benidorm. It is a Class B vehicle, Basic Life Support, Peugeot Boxer L3H2 powered by a new generation 140 hp engine. The interior, which has been adapted to current health regulations, includes a constant monitor, oxygen inlets and a semi-automatic defibrillator.

In recent weeks in Benidorm, dozens of old billboards and facade signs have been removed from things that were sometimes not operational for years. The municipality wants to use the campaign to make the streets of the city more attractive. Signs must also be prevented from falling off the facades and possibly causing injury.

Fifteen young people aged between 12 and 16 are participating in Alfaz town hall’s Edukadogs dog-assisted therapy programme directed at pupils with learning, personal, social or family issues, according to Lalfas. The pupils who completed last year’s course are now mentoring companions as they begin their own training as canine guides.

Rojales town hall has provided the Policia Local force with seven new vehicles via leasing. The renovated fleet is composed of four SUV all-terrain vehicles which are also hybrids, plus two motorcycles and a van equipped as a mobile office that will be used for taking accident-scene statements.
