Several municipalities on the Costa Blanca are in a hurry with their recycling program. Finestrat now has recycling points for used cooking oil in the old town, La Cala and the urbanisations Balcon de Finestrat and Terra Marina. Residents have been asked to put used oil in sealed plastic bottles before putting it in one of the four orange-colored recycle containers. Benissa comes with a waste bin for organic waste. Although recycling containers are already part of the street scene, there are often only collection points for plastic, paper, glass and residual waste.
