Alicante helps with Christmas shopping with a hundred free mini shopping carts at the municipal market. The carts, purchased by the municipality, have a capacity of 75 liters and are equipped with a security system so that they cannot be stolen. The trolleys are supposed to make shopping easier by helping shoppers not carry heavy bags and move faster through the market. The trolleys will be distributed at various access points to the markets, in the lifts and near the car parks.

Altea has applied for €5 million for housing in the city center. The allocation of these funds has now been confirmed, with an additional €1 million coming from the town hall. Actions aim to combat energy poverty, improve quality of life in homes and decarbonise heating and cooling systems.
